Founded in 1937, WSK „PZL – Rzeszów” has become one of the leading players in the Central Europe aerospace industry. In 2003, as initiative of the board of Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów (WSK „PZL-Rzeszów”) the Association of Entrepreneurs of Aviation Industry Group was founded, which now counts more than seventy members in south-eastern Poland.

WSK Rzeszów produces and repairs propulsion systems – engines and gearboxes – that power W-3A Sokół and Mi-2 Kania helicopters as well as An-28/M-28 Bryza airplanes. One of the main areas the company operates in is the production of sheet metal components of aerospace engines and also gearboxes and elements of aviation gearboxes. WSK „PZL – Rzeszów” employs almost 4000 workers in one facility located in the city of Rzeszów, they provide the highest level of services to the most requirements customers.

MTU Aero Engines Polska – a sponsor of the Formation Workshop 2015
Six years ago, in April 2009, MTU Aero Engines Polska started production of the first engine components for Germany’s leading engine manufacturer. Today the development of MTU Aero Engines’ facility in Jasionka close to Rzeszów is an unprecedented story of success and growth. The facility started operations with about 200 employees, today MTU Aero Engines Polska has a highly skilled workforce of about 570 people, many of which graduated from Rzeszów University of Technology. And due to the expansion plans of the company 250 new jobs are expected to be created in Rzeszów by 2020.
With the inauguration of a 9,200-square-meter building, which increased the area occupied by buildings by 50 percent in April 2014, production is expected to be up and running at full capacity by 2017. It will primarily cover the requirements for the production ramp-up in several of the company’s commercial engine programs.
MTU Aero Engines Polska focuses on the development and manufacture of low-pressure turbine components and turbine airfoils together with the big players in the market. Examples are the General Electric (GE) propulsion System GP7000 for the A380, the V2500 engine of the International Aero Engines (IAE) alliance, the Pratt & Whitney PW300 and PW500 engines as well as the GE LM6000 industrial gas turbines. MTU Aero Engines Polska also assembles the low-pressure turbines of the V2500, PW300 and PW500 engines. Another field of expertise is the repair of engine parts, such as tubing and various kinds of mixed parts.
Importantly, the entire value chain from development — aerodynamic design, structural mechanics, thermal optimization, etc. — to manufacture and repair is unfold at this one location.

LOT Polish Airlines is a flag carrier of Poland. LOT was established in 1929 in Warsaw. It is known as one of the world’s oldest airlines still in operation. Moreover LOT has been hailed as one of the safest airlines in the world.

LOT Cargo offers carriage of standard cargo, special cargo, dangerous goods and charter flights on Client’s request. Those charters can carry goods up to 120 tons and their range is up to 12 000 kilometres. LOT Cargo offers really fast carriage, this allows delivering the goods even within one day to such distant places of the world like the USA or Canada. The shipment may be sent and received on the same day.
LOT Cargo also offer Road Feeder Service (RFS), which is usually used to transport very heavy goods or those, which cannot be boarded on planes. Lot Cargo offers transport from Warsaw to major airports in Poland as well as to eastern and central Europe and to international hubs in Germany and the Netherlands. Apart from strictly transport activity, they also organize courses based on IATA programs. Those courses include Basic Cargo and Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), approved by the Civil Aviation Authority in Poland.
